Crown & Rose Photography ("we", "I", "the studio") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information I collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written for a small, U.S.-based portrait studio; amounts are in U.S. dollars and dates in U.S. Eastern time.
Amanda, operating as Crown & Rose Photography in Charlotte, NC, is the data controller for information collected through this website and for the client photographs I create and deliver. You can reach me any time at hello@crownandrose.photography.
When you inquire. The inquiry form collects your name and email (required), and optionally your phone number, preferred session type and date, location, and the message you write. I use this solely to reply to you, plan a possible session, and keep a record of our conversation. It is never sold.
When you become a client. I keep the details needed to deliver your work — contact information, session dates, and the photographs themselves.
Automatically. I use privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics that count visits without tracking you across the web or building an advertising profile. No third-party advertising cookies are set. See the Cookies page for detail.
Your images are yours to enjoy under a personal-use license; copyright and usage terms are described on the Licensing page. I retain copies of client work as an archive and, unless we agree otherwise in writing, I may show select images in my portfolio, on social media, and in marketing. If you'd prefer your photographs not be shown publicly, just tell me — a private session is always an option, and I'll honor it.
Location data. Photographs can contain hidden GPS coordinates. Any images I publish or deliver through this site have that precise location data stripped to protect your privacy.
I don't sell your personal information. I share it only with the service providers that make the studio run — for example, email delivery, image hosting and storage, and (if applicable) payment processing — and only as needed to provide the service. Each is expected to protect your data. I may also disclose information if required by law.
Inquiries are retained while they may lead to a booking and for a reasonable period afterward for my records. Client records and photographs are archived for the life of our working relationship and a period beyond, so I can honor reprint and re-download requests. You may ask me to delete your information sooner (see below).
You may ask me to:
To make any of these requests, email hello@crownandrose.photography and I'll take care of it promptly.
I photograph children at the request of and with the consent of their parent or guardian. I don't knowingly collect information directly from children through this site.
I take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affected your data, I would notify you as required by law.
I may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" note above will change when I do.
